In July 2021, Garth Brooks put on a concert at Rice-Eccles Stadium. It was the second stop on what was intended to be a long stadium tour. Unfortunately, COVID surged again (delta) and ended the tour. But not before he put on the greatest show in the history of Salt Lake City.
Robin and I were excited to go. We hadn’t been to a Garth concert in over 20 years, but quarantine combined with the concert being at the stadium . . . well, it was hard to say no. So, we bought great seats and went to the show.
It was a hot night, so hot that Garth decided to delay the start of the show by over an hour. But once he took the stage, he never left. The crowd never sat down. We cheered, sang, and danced to ever song.
It’s easily the greatest show I’ve ever been to. Here’s hoping I get to see Garth at least one more time.
