I am extremely excited to announce that Kate Christy has joined HCAT lab as a post-doc! I had the pleasure of serving on Kate’s committee when she was an MA student at Purdue University. Kate also demonstrated her awesome ability to collect data while working with me on several projects. After completing her MA, Kate decided to pursue her PhD at the School of Communication at Ohio State University. She will defend her dissertation shortly, under the direction of Professor Jesse Fox, and then join HCAT this summer. Her dissertation is titled, “Investigating the Use of Interactive Narratives for Changing Health Beliefs: A Test of the Model of Interactive Narrative Effects.” Kate will be working on the NIH New Innovator grant, conducting research using our Ozo camera in Immersion Lab, and continuing her fascinating research on interactive narrative.
Welcome Kate!
